Connecticut United Way executive Michael Johnston was named Chief Executive Officer of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford.

The Jewish Community Foundation became an independent entity in 1994 and has assets of $78.5 million and gave grants of $2.7 million in 2011.
